Why I started Whitmore

Picking an online course is a small bet with real stakes. The money matters, but the bigger cost is the weeks you put in, and the letdown if it turns out to be a slide deck recorded once in 2018. I started Whitmore to give you what I wanted to know before signing up: what a course really costs, what happens when you try to cancel, and who it actually suits.

I’m Pragya Jha, and I write every review on this site. I don’t pretend to have finished every course I cover. What I do is sign up myself, walk through onboarding and the first free lessons, check the live price, the trial and the cancellation terms, and take screenshots as I go. Then I add official course information, published studies and documented learner experiences, and link my sources so you can check my work.

I’m not trying to review the whole internet. I go deep on a focused set of platforms, courses and schools, and I keep those pages current.

What I cover

Seven topics: learning platforms, courses by subject, languages, test prep, STEM for kids, online schools and homeschool, and tools for creating and selling your own course. Each topic has a hub that lists every review, comparison, deal and best-of list I’ve published.
