The best Udemy coupon code in most cases is no code at all: Udemy drops most courses to around $10 to $20 during its frequent sitewide sales, and that price applies automatically at checkout. Real codes do exist, but they come from individual instructors, they work on one course at a time, and the free ones run out within days.
Below are the Udemy deals we could confirm for US buyers on November 1, 2026, along with how each one works, who can use it and the catch. We don’t list codes we can’t trace to Udemy or an instructor, so you won’t find a wall of expired “90% off” codes here.

Today’s Udemy Coupons and Deals
Personal Plan free trial, when offered
Udemy runs Personal Plan trials as promotions rather than a permanent offer. Its help center says you can end a trial before you’re charged, but past subscribers may not qualify.

Instructor coupon codes
These are the real Udemy coupon codes. Instructors can create up to three per course each month, either at Udemy’s current best price or at a custom price they set, according to Udemy’s instructor guide. Look for them on the instructor’s website, YouTube channel or email list.
Code at checkoutOne course onlyLasts 5 or 31 days
Free instructor coupons
Instructors can also give a course away. An open free coupon now ends after 10 redemptions or 5 days, and a targeted one after 100 redemptions or 31 days, whichever comes first. That’s why most “100% off” codes posted online are already used up.

Udemy’s free courses
Hundreds of courses on Udemy are free to everyone, with no code. They’re shorter than paid courses and include the video lessons, but not the extras that come with paid enrollment, such as a certificate of completion.

How to Use a Udemy Coupon Code
If you have an instructor’s code, here’s how to apply it on the Udemy website:
- Open the course page for the exact course the code was made for.
- Look for the “Apply Coupon” link under the price, or add the course to your cart.
- Type or paste the code and click “Apply.”
- Check that the new price shows before you pay.
Many instructors share a link with the code already built in, so the discount appears as soon as the page loads. If a code doesn’t work, the usual reasons are that it was made for a different course, it has expired, or it has hit its redemption limit. You can only use one coupon per course, and instructor coupons don’t apply to subscriptions.
On our free Udemy account, the cart shows a Promotions box with an Enter Coupon field next to the order total. That’s where an instructor’s code goes if it wasn’t already in the link.

Sale Price or Personal Plan: Which Saves More?
Most people looking for a Udemy coupon code are really choosing between two ways to pay: buying single courses on sale or subscribing to the Personal Plan. The answer comes down to your yearly course count. Here’s the math using the $12.99 price reported for Udemy’s late-October sale (new learners saw $14.99 on November 1, 2026) and the $13-a-month Personal Plan price Udemy listed on November 1, 2026:
| Courses you take in a year | Buying each on sale ($12.99) | Personal Plan (12 months at $13) | Cheaper option |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 3 | $12.99 to $38.97 | $156 | Buy on sale |
| 6 | $77.94 | $156 | Buy on sale |
| 12 | $155.88 | $156 | About even |
| 20 | $259.80 | $156 | Personal Plan |
The break-even point is roughly one course a month. Below that, wait for a sale and buy only the courses you need. You’ll also own them for as long as Udemy offers them, while subscription access ends when you cancel.
Above one course a month, the Personal Plan usually wins, with one catch. It covers a curated part of the catalog, not every course, so search for your must-have courses with the subscription filter before you sign up.
Why Most “100% Off” Udemy Coupons Don’t Work
Search for free Udemy coupons and you’ll find long lists of codes. Most of them are dead by the time you click. Udemy has tightened its rules: an open free coupon is now capped at 10 redemptions, down from 1,000, and expires after 5 days.
The broader coupon market shows the same thing. Deal site Dealhack tracked Udemy codes over 14 days and reported that only 23 of 170 code checks worked at checkout, a 13.5% success rate. So for paid courses, the sale price is the most dependable discount. For free learning, Udemy’s own free courses are the safer bet.
When Does Udemy Run Its Biggest Sales?
Udemy is on sale for much of the year, but its deepest discounts tend to cluster around a few events. Deal trackers point to three recurring sales: New Year in January, Black Friday and Cyber Monday in late November, and a mid-May anniversary sale.
If a course you want isn’t on sale today, add it to your wishlist and check back in a few days. Prices change often, and Udemy shows a countdown on the course page when a sale is about to end.

Udemy Refund and Subscription Rules
Two policies matter before you buy:
- Single courses: Udemy offers refunds on most course purchases within 30 days through its refund process, with exceptions for things like refund abuse. If you bought through the Udemy mobile app, the refund goes through Apple or Google instead.
- Personal Plan: Udemy says its subscriptions don’t come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, and refunds generally aren’t offered. You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of your billing period.
That difference makes single courses the lower-risk purchase. If you’re unsure about a subscription, use a free trial when one is offered and set a reminder to cancel before it converts.
Other Ways to Save on Udemy
- Ask your employer. Many companies already pay for Udemy Business, which gives employees access at no cost.
- Buy on the website. Prices and refund handling are simplest on udemy.com rather than in the mobile app.
- Follow the instructor. Instructors often email their own discount codes when they launch or update a course.
- Use the free preview. Most courses let you watch a few lessons first, so you can check the teaching style before you pay anything.
There’s no US student discount on Udemy’s own site. Student Beans lists Udemy offers in a few countries, such as Australia, but not for US students.
Udemy Coupon Code FAQs
Does Udemy have a coupon code right now?
Udemy doesn’t publish one sitewide code. The discounts that work for everyone are automatic sale prices, while codes come from individual instructors for their own courses.
Can you use two coupons on one Udemy course?
No. You can apply one coupon per course, and it replaces any other discount rather than adding to it.
Do Udemy coupons work on the Personal Plan?
No. Instructor coupons apply to individual courses only. Personal Plan savings come from Udemy’s own promotions and trials.
Is there a Udemy student discount in the US?
Not on Udemy’s site. US students get the same sale prices as everyone else, which are already low for most courses.
Can I get a refund if a course goes on sale after I buy it?
Udemy doesn’t offer price matching. If you’re still inside the 30-day refund window, you can request a refund and rebuy, but repeated refunds can lead Udemy to block future refund requests.
Bottom Line on Udemy Coupons
Skip the hunt for magic codes. Wait for a sale price, which usually brings a course to about $10 to $20, and buy only the courses you’ll finish. If you’ll take more than one course a month, the Personal Plan is the better deal, as long as it includes the courses you want.
You reached the last module. 3 in 100 do.
